Esaka Sensei

• direct student of the 20th Soke, Kono Hyakuren and the 21st Soke, Fukui Torao
• Chairman of the Ippan Shadanhoujin Seitou Seiryu Musou Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaido Kokusai Renmei

Until his withdrew of the All Japan Iaido Federation (Zen Nihon Iaido Remmei – ZNIR) in May 2011 he has been Vice-President of the entire ZNIR, official representative of the ZNIR and President in Kanto region (eastern Japan including Tokyo).

Esaka Sensei has been the crucial figure in bringing Muso Jikiden Eishin-Ryu to Germany. His wish to promote Iaido has led to foundation of our association and became our aim as well. Since then, he spares no effort to visit us yearly in order to instruct us. We are very thankful for his enduring effort and do our best to live up to his demanding teachings.

Esaka Sensei is one of the finest living sword practitioners. His competence is unique and his deep humanity is inspiring for us all. To practise together, to grow as a whole and to live together in harmony is his way of Iaido as a way of the heart.
